In Missions assessment has a formative purpose and consequently is organized granularly throughout the learner’s journey and continuously accompanies their learning process. Furthermore, our frameworks promote assessment methods consistent with the learning experience and, therefore, in the case of challenge-based learning, assessment must focus on the learning evidence generated by the learner (code, reports, designs, evidence of results, rubrics…) and on their work process (individual or in teams) and must be directly connected with the learning objectives.In this way, assessment becomes a tool that enhances learning and provides effective support to learners. Additionally, the datafication of the learning experience allows for generating deep knowledge that increases the impact and effectiveness of support. This support is mainly executed through dialogue and feedback that allows making critical and constructive observations about the work done and the results obtained and offering recommendations to improve learning.To achieve these objectives, Missions offers a catalog of assessment tools with which to build the assessment process adapted to specific needs and objectives. It is possible to use AI agents as support for designing assessment instruments or for evaluating the evidence submitted by learners. In this case, the system allows either fully automating the process or streamlining the work and increasing the capabilities of mentors. Finally, it connects with different communication platforms (Discord, Slack, Teams or others) to establish one-to-one or group asynchronous communication environments.
