1. Onboarding
Everything starts with a welcome, we want you to feel at home from minute 0. Before starting your mission you will have received several emails informing you about the requirements to access, dates, methodology and other important topics. You know, the didactic guide of the learning experience.
In addition, you will attend the live Onboarding session, where we will tell you everything up close, so you can understand what you’re getting into, meet part of the team and ask us everything you need. Remember that we want your expectations to be well aligned with what we are going to offer you.
2. Mission Access
Imagine that you access a mission with a specific context (you’ve been hired at a company, you have an assignment, you join a new team, …).
3. Mission Description
You read the mission description and begin to enter the story that will accompany you during the next stages. For example, you start working at a fictional company, this is the moment when you begin to meet the characters that will accompany you, you’ll know who you are within this story and we’ll tell you what you’re going to learn.
4. Initial Node
The initial node serves you to advance with the story, familiarize yourself with the new dynamic and receive the first resources related to the learning outcomes you will achieve. It’s a learning stage.
5. Action Nodes
Action nodes ask you to do something real that brings you closer, little by little, to being able to validate a function. Remember that to validate a function you must demonstrate that you have developed several competencies.
Here you will find story advancement with instructions + task + resources + evaluation/validation.
6. Final Node
Here you will find the closing of the mission, you will know the conclusion of the story, the evolution of the characters, what they have learned thanks to you, what you have learned throughout each stage, how you have helped your story companions to advance, how you feel as the protagonist of this learning journey, how you have grown and what competencies you have unlocked.
You will take a final mission report so you can be much more aware of the work you have done and, of course, feel very proud of your journey.
The Mission Dictionary (for learners)
1. The Stages
A mission is composed of several stages, whether the initial node, the action one or the final one, each stage has a challenge you must overcome, a situation within a context that will give you the sensation of progressing little by little.
2. Problem Solving
In each action node you will find the necessary instructions for you to research and find solutions, we will not give you step by step to build your IKEA furniture, we will give you some Lego pieces and the others you must find yourself. Once you find them, you can start solving the challenge we propose in that stage.
3. Autonomous Learning
As its name indicates, you must learn without us holding your hand excessively. We want to develop your critical thinking, your growth mindset and your ability to get yourself out of trouble. Basically, the competencies you will need in a company and that will make you an active, proactive and constantly evolving person. A candy, let’s say.
So, we will give you some references and instructions, but there will be no theory as we know it until now. We will give you references but not the whole book. We will recommend the best places where to find valuable information that helps you learn, but we will encourage you to find your way to solve the problem, there is never only one way, and if there is, we want you to find it with fair and necessary guidance.
4. Evaluation
You will have a section where we will explain how we will evaluate your submission, with clear instructions. You can submit a document, validate with a command, advance autonomously or… who knows what we’ll ask you.
5. Feedback
You will receive feedback from an expert. We love for you to feel accompanied and feel that there is someone on the other side.
6. Support
The entire story you experience will be support in itself, we want you to be comfortable, to feel that you are part of a real context. There will be characters that will make you feel comfortable and others that will push you against the ropes, make you think outside the box.
In addition, one of those characters will be a bot that you can ask questions, it will know exactly what it should answer you and what not, so that you are the person who gets to solve the challenge and not it giving you the IKEA step by step.
Finally, you will have your mission companions on Discord, we love collaborative learning. Helping each other grow, that is the most real situation that exists within a company or, at least, should.
We will be monitoring your progress, observing your needs and covering them when you feel lost.
Oh! By the way, we will organize monographic webinars with experts. Group sessions where you can learn and ask everything you need. We will inform you of the dates so you can schedule them in your calendar.
